are created solely for advertising purposes and are an eye-catching way to attract the attention of the public. They can go anywhere the client requires; you may have seen them in parking lots, outside shopping malls and at trade shows. One of the great advantages of this type of advertising is that it does not demand that the target market (the customer) spends any money or exerts any effort (for example by buying a newspaper or even getting up to change a television channel). The advert is simply there in front of their face, larger than life and impossible to miss! There are many companies specializing in mobile billboard ...

REVIEWS AND OPINIONS
the use of mobile billboards in advertising
Everyone has seen plenty of billboards in their travels, unless their country outlaws them. In fact, the number of billboards along our US highways is, to some, an eyesore. In some areas this is probably true. Yet, often, the billboards provide valuable information for travelers. Billboards are an effective way to advertise but their design means they have at least two drawbacks. First, the ad awaits drivers to pass by. If no one comes, no matter how important the information it contains, its silent vigil is useless. Second, normal billboards can’t do anything to attract attention. They are like statues and, with the ... market research, surveys and trends

Egyptians used papyrus to make sales messages and wall posters. Commercial messages and political campaign displays have been found in the ruins of Pompeii and ancient Arabia. Lost and found advertising on papyrus was common in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Wall or rock painting for commercial advertising is another manifestation of an ancient advertising form, which is present to this day in many parts of Asia, Africa, and South America. The tradition of wall painting can be traced back to Indian rock art paintings that date back to 4000 BC.[4] History tells us that Out-of-home advertising and billboards are the oldest forms ... market research, surveys and trends

Sri Lanka: Business Picks Up in Northern Former War Zone
They are everywhere and more are coming: huge billboards advertising everything from formula to mobile phones dominate most vantage points in Sri Lanka's former war zone. Where artillery and shells shrieked overhead a little over 15 months back, there are now gigantic, smiling women holding tubes of skin-whitening cream. In Kilinochchi, the former political and administrative nerve center of the Tamil Tigers, a toppled water tank once symbolized the wanton destruction caused by war. The tank is now obscured by a billboard for Highland milk; the ad is a vision of the future, the tank a vision of the past. After being cut off ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

It is just a question of time, but the advances are going much faster than anyone predicted. Mobile Advertising is now taking the form and text messages (sms) and to a limited extent of multimedia messages (mms). Why is there a lack of advertising on LI and FB? | LinkedIn ...
I am not an advertising guy so I would love to hear from people in the ad biz as to why there is not more advertising on LI/FB. The way I see it - very large base and you know a lot of their demographics - age, location, industry, etc. Successfully figuring out how to advertise to people in either might really change the ad business. Is it because ad people haven't figured out the right model/other? Thanks in advance. What do advertising experts think of location specific ads on either FB/LI that have trackable ROI on ad spend. For example, Home Depot/other could announce a sale based on my location and then I could print ...
