So the pair started a virtual agency, which aims to maximize the creative power of a group of independent contractors and specialists here and across the country. The virtual agency has low costs because there are just two full-time employees, who work from home, and they say they can nimbly put together a team tailored to the needs of a client. “Instead of having everybody in one building, they’re across the world now with ... market research, surveys and trends
What Kodak's experience with blogging can teach nonprofits
Yesterday I had the pleasure to attend a wonderful presentation by Jennifer Cisney, chief blogger at the Eastman Kodak Company. The event was sponsored by the Advertising Club of Buffalo.   Listening to Jennifer, people at our table expressed envy for the grand scale of Kodak’s social media effort. The company has not one, but three blogs, each with a different purpose. In addition to having a “chief blogger” and staff to interact with people on their own blogs, Kodak also plans to hire a “chief listener,” who will search to see what people are saying about Kodak on other sites and other blogs.   Still, Kodak’s experience with ... market research, surveys and trends

What is getting an upgrade at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo?
For the first time since HSBC Arena opened in 1996, the downtown Buffalo sports and entertainment venue will have new dasher boards installed along the edge of the ice surface. Dasher boards are used not only by the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits players, but as key sources of advertising revenue for the Sabres organization. The boards also allow for a quicker change over for advertising and promotional needs. In addition, the Sabres have installed new and wider acyclic glass panels ...
