Internet TV Stations And Advertising Revenue
There were some very strong structural reasons why advertising was hard to obtain for Internet TV stations, and that this was allowing the free-to-view space to be inhabited by the main channels and broadcasters, who could subsidise their Internet TV operations with revenue from the traditional broadcast channel. Is there a solution to these issues ? Well, if there isn’t one yet, then one can certainly be constructed. Firstly if the tv player software could pull in advertisements from an external source and integrate them smoothly into the schedule stream, and that external source could be an advertising agency or a ... market research, surveys and trends

Facebook's secret rate card
Here's a new Facebook revenue estimate to think about: $90 million a year — from sponsorships alone. Sure, I've poked fun at Facebook's fanciful figures. The social network's board members, after all, can't get their stories straight on how much the company is making — so why should we trust their wild-eyed, multibillion-dollar valuations for the company, either? But now it gets real, folks. An informant has forwarded me a Facebook rate card — a rate card the company claims doesn't exist. It's dated February, so keep that in mind. And any rate card, of course, is a ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Google Answers: Web advertisement rates etc.
Hi, I have to write some sort of a business plan for a new website. Part of this plan is a forecast of possible revenue. Since this website will get it's revenue solely out of advertisements, I will need some more information on rates etc. In particular: 1. Say the website gets 2000 hits a day, what would be a realistic CPM rate to ask? 2. What's the current percentage of ad space that is actually used. Say we have space for three ads on the main page, how much of that space can we expect to actuall fill continually. Please back up your numbers with the sources and/or links. Thanks, Marjolein vd Berg ...
