The big execs usually take home the lion's share in most fashion houses, and, not surprisingly, they have the highest satisfaction ratings in a poll of 2,600 fashion workers from public and private apparel companies. On the flip side, job satisfaction rates are seriously lagging among retail, e-commerce and store-level employees. 2009 Advertising Sales Salary Survey: sales higher-ups and hard ...
An ad sales team that can sell cross-platform, customized packages to advertisers continues to be in-demand for publishers. The numbers don't lie. In 2006, ad-director level media sales professionals got huge raises in their base salaries. On the other hand, sales reps;the account-level specialists who actually do the selling, saw their base salaries decline. Similarly, while about the same number of directors this year are bullish about total compensation (base plus commission), ad managers and account execs are much more pessimistic. George Chamberlin's Money in the Morning
Investors were greeted this morning with a Goldilocks report on the job market. It showed that things aren't too hot or too cold, but just right. The headline number from the Labor Department showed that payrolls fell by 125,000 in June. However, the bulk of the loss and more came from the elimination of 225,000 temporary census workers. Private companies actually increased hiring by 83,000 jobs, a number that was slightly below expectations. So, once again, a highly anticipated report has little or no impact on the markets. The major indexes are little changed in early trading, and will likely stay that way throughout the ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
