Rumors of a BASS sale have circulated throughout the industry for months. At first, chatter involved possible talks between ESPN and Outdoor Channel, but another angle soon surfaced: BASS would be sold to a private investor group. Jerry McKinnis came to light as a potential buyer, and several weeks ago, BassFan reported that retired media titan Don Logan was likely in the buyer mix too.  IMG Worldwide, Inc. (IMG), a premier global sports, entertainment and media company, and ISP Sports, a U.S. college media rights management company, announced today that ISP has agreed to be acquired by IMG. I'm not a Canadian troll nor am I an American who scoffs at hockey below the Mason-Dixon line. I'm just curious, considering they did invent the sport and start the league, as to why they only ended up with 6 teams. My guess would be populaiton. What do you think? It's all about economics (and Bettman is the only NHL President/Commissioner who has actually tried to fix the problems). Two things are required to make a team successful.
