Those entertaining ads for Oasis fruit drinks – in which the green and spiky-skinned Cactus Kid and his young pregnant girlfriend run away from their parents in a Badlands-style mini-road movie – have been judged "offensive" and "irresponsible" by the Advertising Standards Authority . Why? Because they apparently "condone underage sex and teenage pregnancy", and the slogan – "Oasis: for people who don't like water" – might "discourage good dietary practice".
