Many Buddhist symbols need to be considered within the culture of the people who follow it. Therefore, many of the early symbols relate to ancient India and can be found in Hinduism as well, although possibly with a somewhat different meaning. The historical Buddha lived around the sixth century BCE, but no Buddhist artifacts are known from before the third century BCE. In the scriptures, it is mentioned that the Buddha did occasionally use images like the 'Wheel of Life' to illustrate the teachings. The first ...
With 60.2 million inhabitants, it is the sixth most populous country in Europe, and the twenty-third most populous in the world. The land known as Italy today has been the cradle of European cultures and peoples, such as the Etruscans and the Romans . Italy's capital, Rome , was for centuries the political centre of Western civilisation , as the capital of the Roman Empire . After its decline , Italy would endure numerous invasions by foreign peoples, from Germanic tribes such as the Lombards and Ostrogoths , to the Normans and later, the Byzantines , among others. Could it be that the sight of the Buddha statue was a complete turn-off to those who were utterly aroused by the dancing girls, the ‘sexy chicks’, seen in the music video ‘Sexy Bitch’, by David Gruetta, which featured Akon? If not, can such a scene, which in this particular video lasted for not more than two seconds , truly give rise to the kind of intolerance in a Buddhist; which was shown when stones were hurled at the MBC office? A further question that arises is the following: how many more seconds would it have taken, of that or similar kind of scene, for these people to strap a bomb round their bellies and blow themselves ... market research, surveys and trends

GF yaar, your nukes are based on designs stolen from the west by AQ "Chor" Khan, your missiles are repainted copies of North Korean missiles and there is hardly a thing that is produced indigenously in Pakistan, so please pardon me if I take claims of the JF-17 Thunder being indigenous with a pinch of salt. "Rus" may derive from the name of a tribe that gained political ascendancy in Kiev and other Slavic towns and lent its name to the language, culture, and state. Some scholars believe this to have been a Varangian (Viking) clan from Scandinavia, and others hold that it was a Slavic tribe. Some historians believe that "Rus" derives from an ancient name for the Volga River. People ethnically identified as Russians have been politically and culturally dominant in a vast area for five hundred years of tsarist and Soviet imperial expansion. However, ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

investigates the Buddhistic elements of this award-winning Japanese film.  The sense of tragedy in the film is seen, not in the scenes of the young protagonist locked in a coma, but rather in the plight of the Sough East Asian women who work in the mountainous region of Gumma prefecture where the story takes place.  The symbolism of the noh play MATSUKAZE (performed near the end of the film) is tied into the paradoxes of the main characters.  The cyclical, and elliptical, nature of this narrative makes this film a unique viewing experience for students of religion and film studies alike. smithsmith, you go. A catalog of just about everything researchable, as based on the Libary of Congress classification system mentioned above, but modified by me to make it a bit more manageable and on point. It's a bit of an odd list in some ways, especially in terms of the 'weights' given particular subjects, but not others. Still, I think you'll find that all in all it covers a great deal of territory in an organized fashion. I hope the formatting of the list will hold during the posting process...that's always a bit of an iffy prospect. Let me know if ...
