Google agonises on privacy as rivals emerge
A CONFIDENTIAL, seven-page Google "vision statement" shows the information-age giant in a deep round of soul-searching. The basic question being asked: How far should it go in profiting from its crown jewels -- the vast trove of data it possesses about people's activities? Should it tap more of what it knows about Gmail users? Should it build a vast "trading platform" for buying and selling web data? Should it let people pay to not see any ads at all? But I good discussion is required on Is G really filtering the results? What do you have to say? * alleged e-mail from google stating that they have penalized due to the purchase of a paid link.* Hugo, that "alleged" e-mail never mentioned that they were penalised for buying links, it was a form reply that included a general warning on cloaking, and the buying/selling links ...
How to increase my Page CTR and Page eCPM - AdSense Help
I have an iPhone game related website. Yesterday I had 20,914 page impressions, 45 clicks, 0.22% Page CTR, $0.58 Page eCPM. I find these numbers extremly low and I was wondering what I could do to increase it. I only have a leaderboard ad on top and a skyscraper ad on the left side of my site. My daily average was higher with 10-12,000 page impressions than what I've been getting lately. I would hate to slap more ads on the site as distraction from my content. But not sure what to do. I was also wondering how I might be able to find paid advertising for my site. FYI, my site is     s t o r m a t m . c o m 1) You have ...
