Doctors attack NHS jobs freeze
The economic crisis is already having a major impact on frontline NHS services in Scotland, doctors’ leaders have warned. Recruitment freezes and unfilled vacancies are masking the true impact of economic pressures on the NHS, according to the British Medical Association. Almost 62% of the 92 doctors questioned in the survey said there was a freeze on recruitment in their health board.
