Airline passengers get a chance to be heard on proposed regulations
If you’ve ever complained about air travel — and who hasn’t? — then here’s your best chance in a generation to do something about it. Tell the government what you think of its proposed new passenger rights rules. You can do it right now, thanks to a new project called Regulation Room. There’s a lot to comment about. The rules cover everything from tarmac delays to peanuts. If adopted, they could change the way Americans fly more than any single regulation since the airline industry was deregulated in 1978. Administrative rulemaking, for those of you who snoozed through your civics class, is the process by which agencies adopt ... market research, surveys and trends

Literature Review - Safety Effects Of Electronic Billboards - FHWA
The literature review researched two types of information to understand the safety implications of electronic billboards. One research effort examined current state practices in the regulation of EBBs to determine, for example, the features of those displays at which the regulation is directed and the consistency of regulation among the states. The other type of information was derived mostly from research studies that had the objective of understanding driver behavior in the presence of electronic billboards and/or tri-vision signs. Information of the latter type can provide a source for informed state planning. The ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Our View: Silo upgrade deserving of 'pardon'
What should have been lauded as a commendable investment to spruce up a long-standing eyesore has turned into a tussle with state and county government bureaucracies. For decades a silo on the west side of the highway between St. Peter and Le Sueur sported advertisements for soda products — first Coke and then 7-Up. During recent years, the 7-Up image became faded and worn. It drew a lot of attention in recent years, not for its attractiveness but as an unwelcome image of neglect. Then in 2009 Cambria added a fresh coat of black paint, its name and a couple of dragon logos in gold. Cambria, which makes quartz surfaces such ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Feds dig for truth on Del. 1 land deal
The Federal Highway Administration is investigating two state land deals along Delaware's main highway to the beach, deals that created a new intersection and added millions to the value of the properties. Spearheaded by former Gov. Ruth Ann Minner, her chief of staff and state highway officials, the deals were initiated by Christopher Tigani of N.K.S. Distributors Inc., a major Delaware liquor distributor. With Minner's help, longtime friend Tigani obtained a 66-year lease on 10.3 acres of publicly owned land at the per-acre rate of $146 a month to start. Realtors say commercial property with access to Del. 1 often ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

How do you feel about uniforms in the workplace? As grown adults ...
It depends on the business. If employees are customer facing it adds to the brand feel - the customer can instantly recognise who works there when they need help, and it makes the premises look neat. What department of a manufacturing company would be in charge of ...
I work with an air charter company and we are expanding and I would like to contact the right department within a Manufacturing firm that would coordinate this. But I don't know whom to ask for can someone help? Most manufacturing companies have a logistics dept that handle all of their freight contracts. Not sure why your question is about transporting hazmat material for an air charter co. If you don't have experience in dealing with this type of shipment, you are very likely to loose money since the regulations covering air shipments of hazmat material are pretty strict. I highly recommend that you do ...
