Blizzard seem to have become even more fond of amusing quests titles/descriptions and other things that reference real worldly things. Thought it would be kinda fun if we made a list of these. I will kick it off with what I found so far Once More with Eeling Can't Start A Fire Without a Spark NPC Mack Fearsen Collect a crate of gunpowder from "Harrison's Dig" where Harrison Jones is once again located Posted 5 Jul 2010 I have been working on a Windows 7 Desktop Gadget/Windows Vista Sidebar (Untested) Gadget for the past few days. The Daily Quest: The Cataclysm raiding debate
I'm mostly worried about the effect it will have on pugs. With stricter lockouts, I see more and more people leaning away from pugs, but we'll see. I see it as the death of 25 man raid pugs at least. It's so much easier to get a 10 man pug together. And since you only need 9 other people instead of 24, you can also include stricter gear/achievement requirements. This is probably part of the reasoning behind it. With the changes to guilds (better guild UI, guild levels, a real guild recruitment tool) AND the death of pugs, no more lone wolves in Warcraft. Good? Bad? Dunno, but certainly different. I agree, it ... market research, surveys and trends
guild relations our awesome guild recruitment tool needs beta help
I'm working with 4 other gamers developing a recruitment feature for WoW. Guild leaders that are looking to recruit can post their open positions on the site and people looking for guilds can use us to search for a potential guild. What makes us unique is that we created a recommendation engine which we could feed highly qualified candidates to guild leaders using personality metrics. We're going into beta in about a week and are looking for people to try out our tool. If you're interested, please sign-up here: If you have any questions just let me know. For 14.9 million jobless Americans, Labor Day is no holiday, just ...
The nearly 15 million unemployed Americans won't enjoy Labor Day as a relaxing respite from work. Instead, they'll once again need to prepare to get up, hit the pavement and keep hunting for a job. As the jobless rate nears 10 percent, even those fortunate enough to be employed fret about keeping their jobs. But for those without them, it's a daily struggle with emotional and economic distress. "It's hard to maintain your focus that you're a valuable member of society when you go three months and nobody really wants to employ you," says David O'Bryan, 59, of Barre, Vt.
