Is Print Recruitment Advertising Dead? -
— assuming it can be sold at all — is there any likelihood that the print industry’s single largest revenue category will ever even come close to approaching the $6, $7, and $8 billion glory days of a decade ago? Not likely, say observers of the market ( here’s just one ) who have warned of the demise of the newspaper Help Wanted for years . The Conference Board, which once used the volume of employment ads in 51 of the nation’s newspapers as an index of labor health, discontinued its Help Wanted Advertising Index in July 2008. The Board explained the decision this way, “Because print ... market research, surveys and trends
Q&A: Why online's missing out on $50B in co-op ad money
Who's not getting a penny of this ocean of money? We aren't. Not e-commerce merchants, not email service providers, not search marketers, not display advertisers. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Ever wonder why you never hear about coop advertising online? For all intents and purposes, it doesn't exist. Online retailers who advertise only on the web have clauses in their contracts with suppliers specifically prohibiting them from getting co-op dollars from their manufacturers. Fifty billion dollars is a lot of money to leave sitting on the table, so we asked Dave Morin, a 20 year veteran of traditional co-op advertising, for ... market research, surveys and trends

"The Secret of Management" and "Look Who's Talking"
When Andrea Planbee made Lisa the news director, she also rearranged the "situation" part of this situation comedy. We've talked before about the center-eccentric structure of which  NewsRadio  is an example -- the relatively sane person (with whom the audience identifies) trying to hold together a group of crazies.  This week's two episodes demonstrate what happens to Lisa Miller when she has to embrace the role of the center.  In short, the effort doesn't so much change her personality as reveal facets of it neither we nor Lisa new before.  The center role isn't the ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Off line advertising
I'm thinking about placing ads offline to pull visitors to my website, but my roots are strictly online. Anyone have experience placing offline ads in newpapers or magazines suggesting readers go to their website and buy something? I'd appreciate hearing about any experiences, positive or negative. I did somthing like that once, i was crazy back then. I have a bunch of pron sites. Once i made 1000 a3 size flyers with a kaned lady on it. Of course the website url was good visible on the poster. Then i went out and spread these posters over town. All i got was a warning from the city stating: your flyer is taking the ...
What are babysitting rates? - Yahoo! Answers
I own a babysitting service based in Orange County, California and our rates are $12/hr for one child and $1/hr for each additional child. However, the going rate in your area could be very different. The trick is to make sure that your prices are in line with what everyone else is charging. Charge too little and a parent may wonder why you're charging so little when a good babysitter in your area can make more - so it can work against you. Charge too much and you will most likely not receive any calls. CraigsList for your area is a great way to find out what others are charging; Pennysaver and Recycler are also good ...
