Employer branding – is it all smoke and mirrors?
Yet recent research by CIPD and Melcrum uggests that 9 out of 10 organisations have an employer brand.  I must admit I don’t get it, and I’m not alone, the same research shows that only 10% of employees understand their employer brand.  So what does the report recommend to increase understanding? Is Print Recruitment Advertising Dead? -
— assuming it can be sold at all — is there any likelihood that the print industry’s single largest revenue category will ever even come close to approaching the $6, $7, and $8 billion glory days of a decade ago? Not likely, say observers of the market ( here’s just one ) who have warned of the demise of the newspaper Help Wanted for years . The Conference Board, which once used the volume of employment ads in 51 of the nation’s newspapers as an index of labor health, discontinued its Help Wanted Advertising Index in July 2008. The Board explained the decision this way, “Because print ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Marketing Recruitment
• The classiest comment ever from the management of a collapsing dotcom came from PeopleVillage. "We still believe that the basic principle and technology behind the site will have its day - but we have decided not to wait for it". • The New York Mafia is recruiting desperately. They only have 574 members, down from 634 last year due to turnover (hits, arrests, defections etc). They are even becoming equal opportunity by looking outside the Italian-American community. "Attractive packages you can't refuse" presumably. • Status Quo. What a rock ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

London, UK, July, 2010: When a company begins the search for a new employee there are many ways that the search can be handled. The interviewing process can become bogged down with applicants that do not fit within the structure of the company. If a company has multiple ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

I am writing a new book called Brand For Talent. | LinkedIn ...
Several people have asked what I mean here. My co-author Mark Schumann and I are looking for the companies that have the best reputations as places to work, places to build a great career, the companies that most people would love to work for. Obviously, we can look at the 100 Best Lists, but we wanted to hear from talent experts on what they thought on the topic. posted March 8, 2007 in Job Search | Closed Share This Unless I've misread the question I'd say Google and Apple have the market cornered in Silicon Valley for being the brands and companies that talented individuals most desire to work for to deliver ...
