The Story Siren: Rules of Attraction Book Trailer
I don't usually post about book trailers. Honestly they don't do much for me. But recently there have been some awesome book trailers, especially for some YA books ( insert V's VLC Photo Productions ) One of the first book trailers that I watched again and again was Simone Elkeles' trailer for Perfect Chemisty . It doesn't really do the book justice... it's a completely different tone than the novel, but it is hilarious! And sooo catchy. You can see it at Simone's website . Recently Simone did a trailer for her upcoming release Rules of Attraction (April 13) which is the sequel to Perfect Chemistry market research, surveys and trends
Girls Without a Bookshelf: Author Interview: Simone Elkeles
I can’t choose. I love all of my "bad boy" characters. In Perfect Chemistry, Alex has a heart of gold and is so dedicated to his family and the ones he loves. I love him. On the other hand is Carlos, who loves to live his life on the edge and loves adventures and challenges. And on the third hand, Caleb is so self-sacrificing that he changes his life just to protect his sister while at the same time helping Maggie discover her true strength. I’m sorry, I can’t pick. I’ll take them all. 2. Personally, what do you feel is the most fulfilling part of being a writer? My fans! They are ... market research, surveys and trends

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles - Reviews, Discussion ...
First of all, I want to thank my Goodreads friend, Shannon, for recommending this wonderful book. My life was so enriched by the reading of it. Excerpt of Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
…“Good afternoon and welcome to senior chemistry.” She sits on the edge of her desk and opens a folder. “I appreciate you picking your own seats, but I make the seating arrangements . . . alphabetically.” I groan along with the rest of the class, but Mrs. Peterson doesn’t miss a beat. She stands in front of the first lab table and says, “Colin Adams, take the first seat. Your partner is Darlene Boehm.” Darlene Boehm is co- captain of the varsity pom squad with me. She flashes me an apologetic look as she slides onto the stool next to my ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Books vs Movies - which tells a “better” story? | Gender and ...
After watching “The Handmaid’s Tale”, I couldn’t stop thinking about a review I read of the “Watchmen” movie. (Forgive me, I didn’t save the link, and I couldn’t find it through google!) Basically, the gist of the review was that there seems to be an assumption today that a film version of a novel is the ultimate form of storytelling; for stories to remain important (or in some cases to even become culturally relevant), they must be made into movies. One of the main attractions of the “Watchmen” movie was that it was based on a novel that had been tossed around for ...

What is your favorite film (films) that never was a huge ...
You know the film…it didn’t get a lot of media attention. It might have been an “arthouse” film or a Hollywood film that just wasn’t publicized well..but you found it to be delightful or thought-provoking or life-changing or just plain entertaining and well-done. I have a quite a few, but these come to mind quickly: Reds (This is tops in my book—Beatty’s finest and overshadowed by “Chariots of Fire”. Beatty should have taken Oscar home for “Best Picture”. Yes, this was a huge film. Big budget. But I put it here because it still has not received the attention it ...
