broomfield is, for today, the manliest suburb around
Yesterday was April Fool’s Day. Today, I’m guessing, is April “Quit it quit it quit it, it wasn’t even that funny yesterday” Day. That’s my guess, at least. And on this most hallowed of non-holidays, we’re going to start with guys beating the crap out of each other. That’s the plan as The Broomf, a.k.a. the Broomfield Event Center, makes room for the mixed martial arts that is UFC Fight Night. Oh yeah, it’s on! Two men enter, one man leaves! And, then, of course, the other man will leave too, but probably with a lot more effort and maybe some assistance. This is actually ... market research, surveys and trends

Things had better body back then
Having written about Pabst Blue Ribbon for this week's cover story, I started to wonder about other so-called nostalgia brands. Why did they go away, and if they're regaining popularity, how are they pulling off a comeback? Jimmy Yahnis, owner of The Yahnis Co., mentioned Schlitz while we were talking about PBR. He said Schlitz was the No. 1 beer in the late 1960s. Yahnis distributes Schlitz products, and the company's Florence branch is located on Schlitz Drive. Known for a half-century as "The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous," Schlitz sold well enough to underwrite the construction of a massive brewery ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

28% of college smokers began to smoke regularly at or after age 19, at which point most were already in college. (Ibid.) Almost 1 in 8 college students initiate smoking while in college (Everett and Huston, 1999; Wechsler et al., 1998; Wetter, et al., 2004). Google Answers: antique tobacco tin
Am considering starting hobby of tobacco tins if I can at least find one I recall from childhood. I recall a yellow tan color with likeness of radio and movie actor from 1930's named Gene Hersholt. Tin may have been called "Country Doctor". How do I find a dealer or collector who can advise me how to go about finding this or other tins I might want to find in the future. Are there clubs I can contact if not dealers?? Clarification of Question by bob2735-ga on 21 Nov 2003 17:35 PST Not exactly as I recall, but after 60 years I could be off somewhat. I seem to recall a tin that was wider than tall, maybe 3 1/2" x 2 ...
