The wordmark is usually associated with a graphic to form a visual unit. See the examples below . A design ...
The French get their B-Ball On - Brand New
(FFBB for short, and French Basketball Federation in English) is the governing body of basketball in France, overseeing more than 4,000 clubs across the country as well as managing the French national team. With a 16-year-old logo in use, the FFBB unveiled a new identity last week designed by Lille- and Paris-based agency Graphèmes who, as I understand, beat out another six agencies through a competition, although there are no details about what said competition entailed — hopefully it was a free throw competition that didn’t involve free logos. Epically soundtracked logo presentation. As the graphic above ... market research, surveys and trends

So, if you haven’t heard by now, both the Orlando Magic and the Utah Jazz both “changed” their team logos. If you’ve followed me and my column since the past year, you may know I’m really in to team logos and uniforms. Is a logo strictly necessary for a brand? | LinkedIn Answers ...
I would say yes. If you don't have logo there will be ocasions where you will need one and if you don't have one and choose to use, say just the name of your company. Many will take that to be your logo anyway. So better to have that done with some thought behind it. posted August 16, 2008 I strongly feel Logo is must for effective communication, Its not just an identity but a visual impact that has long lasting effect. Sea Monkey Promotional Materials • mozillaZine Forums
IMO if the user of the Sea Monkey logo includes the Trademark symbol or notice, than that should cover it. I really don't see anyone claiming the logo as their own as it is clearly spreading through the Internet that Sea Monkey has a new logo. I've seen it on forums and other places. Some people have linked to the Sea Monkey images on my site, so I know that the word is spreading. And since I use Firefox, why do I care? I'm a fan and supporter of all Mozilla products and their mission: "to promote choice and innovation on the Internet". Posted January 29th, 2006, 4:44 pm @ KenS: I meant to answer this the other ...
