story on the promise of Web 2.0 technologies for human resource departments looking to make internal changes. My focus is really on employer branding and the candidate/employee experience, so I have no idea if my input was ever used, but thought I would post my responses here on EXCELER8ion as well to see what our little community has to say. What sorts of solutions are now available to HR shops? How do these technologies differ from more traditional offerings? What ...
was first used in the early 1990s to denote an organisation’s reputation as an employer. Since then, it has become widely adopted by the global management community. Minchington (2005) defines your employer brand as “the image of your organisation as a ‘great place to work’ in the mind of current employees and key stakeholders in the external market (active and passive candidates, clients, customers and other key stakeholders). First step? Google. What did I find? A very dark and dreary blog that she wrote in on a regular basis. It was all self-reflection and she frequently vented about why HR work is so boring for her and why she always seems to end up bouncing around so many temp jobs.  She went on to talk about how ... market research, surveys and trends
Personal Branding Interview #2: Dave Ulrich | Personal Branding ...
last August. In this interview, Dave talks about what motivates people to work, the abundant organization model, and tips for business owners who want to create meaning in the workplace. People work for many reasons. For some it is a drudgery that must be endured, for others it is purely economic, and for others work has a sense of meaning. When work is a setting and opportunity for employees to find meaning, their personal lives are more abundant, but they are also more productive. People can work harder and put in their time and go through the motions, but when they put in their energy and emotion, they are more likely to ... market research, surveys and trends
