December Cabinet Notes
K.C. Brekken, Eric Garner, Taylor Gray and Dave Morgan gave an over view of the strategic plan for CSN communications. The plan for improvement came from feedback of the challenges to link to specific data, the archaic look of the CSN website, no official method of communication with students, and a number of other issues. The content management system is 10 years old, outdated and not supported any longer. There are many options for the CMS update. Nevada Smith: There's no bad time to tour Nevada
For me, there's no bad time to tour Nevada. Whether it's a spur-of-the-moment overnighter or a methodically planned two-week adventure, there's no shortage of good times in the Silver State. If that makes me sound like a shameless shill for the state I love, so be it. Yet, as I travel, I'm amazed by the number of people I meet who haven't journeyed in their own backyard. Granted, it's a big backyard, but they just haven't taken the time to check out their own state. The Independence Day holiday is a great time to see Nevada. Sure, there are cooler months to travel. But when it comes to ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
San Antonio city council says 'no' to Arizona-type law
The San Antonio City Council sat for 3½ hours late last week to hear speakers urge passage of a controversial resolution urging the Texas state legislature to oppose an immigration law similar to the much criticized Arizona SB 1070. Expressing his support, Councilmember Justin Rodriguez said, "We have to be proactive and stop the state legislature."
