Most Dangerous Cities, Camden NJ No.2 |
Camden is a nightmare. As I gather material for the “most dangerous cities” pages I come across some pretty nasty places and some pretty nasty scum bag politicians. I have to tell you that I haven’t found anything, in America, to match Camden. Sunk deep in many decades of liberal democrat politics this relatively small city has probably more corruption per capita than any other in the nation. The reason that, unlike our other Dangerous City Posts , the mayor is not headlining the Camden page, is because she is actually second in command in the city of Camden. The defacto leader of Camden is a so called ... market research, surveys and trends

BP credit rating slashed as oil spill costs mount
's credit rating has been slashed by Fitch to just two notches above junk status, as the potential cost of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill continues to escalate. Fitch cut its rating on BP from AA to BBB this morning, a day after US politicians demanded the company deposits $20bn (£13.58bn) in an escrow account to cover the cost of the Deepwater Horizon disaster. The ratings agency said it was concerned that the balance between long-term and near-term cost payments would become "skewed much more heavily towards the near-term than previously anticipated" if the escrow account was created. Has the power shift started from western capital markets to ...
Please remember that in any sort of borrowing-lending transaction, the power always lies with the lender of the capital and so is the case with the capital markets. The emerging markets may be in a position to achieve higher returns in the next decade but that does not really mean a power shift in capital markets. Time and again, we've seen what happens to Indian markets when the FIIs start withdrawing money. The Indian market simply lacks the depth when it comes to absorbing the shock of such a large outflow of capital. Just compare Indian capital markets to western ones in terms of the daily turnover (value, volume), ...
