July Fourth is frenzied, dangerous
Hot weather combines with heavy alcohol consumption, big crowds engaged in boating and other water sports, jammed highways and the annual tradition of fireworks. The result can be high accident risks and a spike in injuries and deaths. Emergency room doctors see the results, especially after dark. "The Fourth itself is quiet, but that night we'll get busy with sunburn, alcohol-related car accidents, firecracker burns," said emergency room physician Dr. Lionel Bodzin of the Henry Ford Medical Center in Sterling Heights. "Even just sparklers cause numerous burns to the extremities" -- fingers and feet -- ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Coast To Coast: This Was A Triumph
It was inevitable that my return to the UK would be inauspicious. Queues at passport control and delays at baggage return meant I missed my flight home to Glasgow. So I'm still in Heathrow's Terminal 5 - an open-plan, stainless-steel, chillingly inefficient holding pen for travellers. I'd rather be anywhere else: home, for example. Or better yet, back in South Africa. That I had to leave at the end of the second round, assignments all complete, was disappointing, yet I had plenty of time to get used to the fact. Plus, I was at least one of the lucky few who not only attended the World Cup but was paid for the ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

The White House wants to know: What is the biggest health care ...
The fact that many people here in the states (legal or not) use the emergency room for just about any ailment. It is a major problem and solutions should be granted to the hospitals. A national program just won't work. posted 8 months ago Illegal immigration is one of the crippling elements of many of our social and health care systems. We have spent billions of dollars on undocumented people who are not contributing to the financial security of these services but are the chronic exploitation of our health care systems and our social services. posted 8 months ago Make Today Matter see all my answers Best Answers in: ...
Home Improvement--General: Asphalt driveways, birdbath in driveway ...
Last November we installed a new drive, part over an old and part new.  On the older section, it appears that the asphalt is beginning to scar when we drive over it.  (began in summertime).  We do not park on it, and this drive was never sealed.  It has been down 10 months.  So, the drive is tearing up where we turn our wheels creating divots and loose aggregate.  Also, the finished surface is very rough looking to me..more so than even the street.  They tell me its a stronger asphalt, but all I know is that its ugly, looks unfinished.  They said I need to sealcoat it but my previous drive ...
