As European manufacturing capacity gradually migrates to cheaper locations farther east, once-prominent producers such as Germany are filling the economic void by developing transportation, distribution, and logistics capabilities. As a reflection of this shifting dynamic, Ernst & Young's Location Germany 2008: Germany and Europe - International Manager Assessment report touts Germany as the top investment destination in Western Europe. Germany's strength, already underscored by its top ranking for infrastructure in the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report 2008, is further augmented by a diverse ...

Non-Iterventionism is not Isolationism : Iraq News and Information
Americans who advocate a non-interventionist foreign policy are often referred to as: “isolationists.” Like “Democracy” and “Republic,” the terms “Isolationist” and “Non-interventionist” have become synonymous. In actually, there are substantive differences between the two terms and they should never be used interchangeably. Isolationism dictates that a country should have no relations with the rest of the world. In its purest form this would mean that ambassadors would not be shared with other nations, communications with foreign governments would be mainly perfunctory, and commercial relations would be non-existent. ... market research, surveys and trends
Sunday News And Other Mythologies « The Confluence
The myth that we have two different political parties would be funny to watch if it didn’t have such serious consequences. Whichever party is in charge does the bidding of their corporatist bosses while the out party pretends to be opposed to what they’re doing. They each make lots of noise and get people riled up. One side calls the other heartless crazy right wing nazi’s and the other screams evil big spending communists. They make enough noise and faux opposition speeches that each election cycle people are ready to throw one side out and install the other. And when the next group gets in power, they do the ... market research, surveys and trends

The Cradle of Civilization
ontrary to popular opinion, I don't believe civilization began in the eastern hemisphere. The Egyptian priests told the Greek historian, Herodotus, that they descended from the oldest men on earth, who lived in the west. This seems to explain why Egypt suddenly emerged as a highly developed society rather than slowly evolving from a primitive state. It also lends weight to the viewpoint of those scientists who insist that the American continent is the launching site of civilization, because of the tremendous amount of widely scattered fossilized ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Western Civilization is Not Christian: A History
As a historian, I know what we call today “Western Civilization” was largely based on Christianity. I also know that it was a particular brand of Christianity. I leave for another day the debate whether that particular brand is now, or was then, the true Church. However, it is no criticism to note the Church of Rome which midwifed Western Civilization had not precisely the same outlook on the world as the New Testament Apostles. That is, the Apostles were Jewish men with a distinctly Semitic outlook, and Rome was decidedly Latin-Greek. Specifically, it was Aristotelian. The question is not whether faith can remain ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

DCI Remarks at Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner ...
I know that you all were expecting Tom Cruise or Harrison Ford. I am very sorry you got the short, fat guy from Queens. I am very grateful to the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity to address this distinguished group of New Hampshire patriots. I want you to know that I am probably the only person you will see here all year who is not campaigning for a job! I already have the very best job in the world. It's unusual for me to make public speeches, but I believe it is important from time to time to talk to the American people in communities across the country about the importance of intelligence. I believe ... technology research, surveys study and trend statistics

Neolithic Revolutions — beginnings of village life — beginning about 8000 B.C.E. stone tools were made by polishing rather than chipping, making them stronger and capable of cutting more deeply.
