The next spin on e-commerce: call it 'social commerce' - SmartPlanet
In the 1990s, we saw the rise of e-commerce, which burst forth a new industry of dot-com startups and divisions. The popular perception is that e-commerce withered with the dot-com bust in the early part of the 2000s. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth — as we just saw on Cyber Monday, November 30th, e-commerce sales hit $887 million , and volume was up five percent over the previous year, according to comScore Inc. Overall, in its most recent stats, the US Commerce Department estimates that e-commerce sales are about three to four percent of total retail sales , up from about half a percent at the ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

marketplace for the first time I was quite impressed. I've read a number of comments and emails from readers about that first-look review I did back in July of 2008. Fast-forward nearly two years, and Bonanzle is still a well-oiled machine that is slick to use and offers features that you just don't find on other online marketplaces -- in 2008 or 2010. Since my first-look at Bonanzle, this snappy little online marketplace has grown to boast 250,000 registered users, and it is now home to more than 3.5 million item listings.  So far this year the company has had pretty big announcements: it recently pulled in $1 ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Why are conversion PARTIALLY tracked? - Google Analytics Help
When a transaction is tracked in Google Analytics all details are perfectly followed (amount, number of items, purchasing code, etc.). Surprisingly, I have a similar issue (partial tracking) with Adwords. So, I double checked the code, made sure the funnel was tracking things right (which it does), I tried tweaking things such as putting the conversion code at the top of the payment confirmation page, but without any change. Does anyone have seen a similar issue? Thanks Oliver Oliver, Do you mean that your reported Conversions (through Analytics) are 20% off from your actual Conversions (what you see on your back end)?  If so, ...
