Mayor Jack Kirksey appointed Councilman Don Knapp to become City Attorney, effective early February. He will have to resign his council seat. The City Council will appoint a replacement to fill the remainder of Knapp's term which expires at the end of this year. Jobs, amenities key to city's future
Some of the city's elected officials, community leaders, activists and longtime residents examined that question Monday at a Strategic Vision Workshop at Schoolcraft College. I live a couple hours away but we are having our wedding in the Metro Detroit area because my family is so large. It's been really hard to plan a wedding with everything being so far away (but I still have until spring/summer 09).
