state historic sites, parks to close after sunday
Donald Hallmark first walked the dark-oak halls of the Dana-Thomas House in the 1970s and was awed by the house and its architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. “I was just blown away by the fact the building was as astoundingly complete as it was,” said Hallmark, now superintendent for the downtown Springfield home. “I had never seen anything as complete as this, with all the original furniture and nearly all the art glass here.” After Sunday, Hallmark will be alone with the 104-year-old home that experts call one of the finest examples of Prairie School architecture. The house is one of 12 state historic sites ... market research, surveys and trends

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Google Answers: Where should I consider moving to in Washington ...
Where should I consider moving to in Washington, Oregon or California? I was born in Seattle, Washington and have lived here most of my life. I like most aspects of it except the lack of sunshine and warmth, and I would like to live in a smaller town or a rural setting near a medium-sized town. What I don?t like about Seattle: Rains too much, too many cloudy days Quiet serenity is miles away High overall stress-level lifestyle People are not outgoing; sorta cool, reserved, not as open to strangers as some places Expensive real estate Hard to be a big fish in a big pond (very competitive environment) Traffic ...
Is there a shuttle service from Portland airport to Roseburg ...
Yes, there is a shuttle service - it's run by Porter Stage as I recall and it can actually be booked from Amtrak. Amtrak doesn't have the ability to run their trains during parts of the day through Oregon so they use the bus service. Which means there is a once or twice daily bus trip to Roseburg. The bus picks up at Union Station (the train station) and then drops of at one of two locations in Roseburg. It's affordable and the bus is very comfortable. To get from the airport to the train station is a bit of a trip. I've not used the Max (trolley system in Portland) but I'm sure it ...
