Jed Report: January 2008 Archives
I think Barack Obama will win a majority of delegates on Tuesday, and if that happens, I think Hillary will see that she has no path to the nomination I think she'd want to quit this race on her own terms. Moreover, at the end of the day, the fighting over the legacy of the Clinton Administration does us no good as a party. We need to never forget how much better the Clinton years were than the Bush years years and the Reagan years, not just for the country but for the world. This is an important part of the story we have as a party to explain to the American public why we should be once again entrusted with the White House. industry trends, business articles and survey research
Is America's 'Race Music' Past Hurting Janelle Monae?
Kitschy, socially conscious singer and songwriter Janelle Monae has all the tools for a successful debut music career--interesting and dynamic production, a melodic singing voice, an interesting look, a new dance--and one of hip-hop's heavy hitters (Big Boi, of Outkast fame) as her mentor and co-collaborator. So why hasn't her new single torn up the airwaves? Is it because the world isn't ready for Monae's tuxedoed swagger and retro-meets-R&B supersonic sound? These, the USCCB stresses, will remain at the forefront of its contributions to the healthcare discussion. The USCCB consequently ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Macroeconomic question? - Yahoo! Answers
Gordon brown said this in April 2008: " it is understandable - and this is what we have got to deal with - that in Europe and America worries exist. It is worrying that the dominant response is not to welcome this new competition, but that people are in fear of their jobs and their livelihoods. We see in America, particular, protectionist sentiment growing. This raises the question as to whether in response to this more testing global economic outlook the world will relapse into the counter-productive but familiar defensive and negative protectionism. under the illusion that people can stop change, they will deny themselves ...
Google Answers: Globalisation, MNC influencing workplace relation ...
"Globalization enhances competitiveness, both at the level of the firm and at the level of the nation. As observed in China, Malaysia, and Korea, this leads management and the state to adopt strategies designed to increase labor effectiveness to the benefit of capital. However, the effect of globalization on industrial relations procedures and substantive outcomes is contingent. Pressure for greater flexibility in the use of labor is ubiquitous, but the outcome is constrained by cultural norms valuing hierarchy and security. State strategies vary by historical circumstance, resource endowments, and internal political dynamics, ...
