Test-driving the laser-wielding QB telepresence robot
is to give users the ability to project their presence to a remote location through a robot, essentially driving a video conference around and interacting with colleagues in a richer manner than voice or video alone. QB fun: Vaporizing humans. (Credit: Video screenshot by Tim Hornyak/CNET) For the test drive, I first "robotted in" to the Anybots office in Silicon Valley (how quaint that this verb is still a nonentity on Google). This might sound futuristic, but the technology pieces to do this exist today, they are just too disparate (hence our goal to add this technology to our mobile application framework). Humans are very predictable assuming you have the right data sources available. So if you could ...

Most pundits are now saying that within the next 2-4 years, more than half of the webs traffic will be accessed on a mobile (wireless) internet appliance via a 3G Service Provider or 3GSP This is a quantum leap for sure, But what I'd like to understand is how will this affect website development & design? Is XML the way forward? as I uderstand it, one of its merits is in its resizing and reformatting capabilities? Should I not worry because flexible roll up display screens are likely ...
