Bank was 'given oil field stake'
Former Anglo-Irish Bank Chief Executive Sean Fitzpatrick provided the bank with a larger stake in a Nigerian oil field in a bid to safeguard his family from creditors. It is also claimed he offered 3m euros of his pension pot to the bank and other creditors to offset 110m euros of debt but this was rejected. The reports were in the Irish Independent on Friday. Looks like some of you may have missed Mike CH's reply that we're currently working on the issue with Irish placenames. We'll get it fixed as soon as we are able. I've reported the Helsinki/Helsingfors bug to our team as well. Thanks for your feedback on both of these issues. I wish the English names had not been replaced on the Irish map. I cannot find the places I want to go now.  Is there any way you could choose which language to use on map? I will not be able to use the google map any longer this way.
