But I Have a Prescription! – Employee Drug Tests in the Age of Medical Marijuana
In March 2010, national media attention focused on a Wal-Mart in Battle Creek, Michigan after it fired a 29 year-old man who tested positive for marijuana use following a random drug test. Jury Duty pay? - Yahoo! Answers
A co-worker of mine is being called in for jury duty. Does the company have to pay his hourly wages? He had asked me and I have no idea! I did some research on the interent, but it's all very confusing. Does it vary from state to state. We live in Kansas if that's any help. Thanks. Jury duty compensation varies even within state. Check with the County courthouse (or fed court house if fed jury duty). If your friend contacts HR, they will fill her in on jury duty policy. If you work for a large company it shouldn't be a big problem. I wish her luck in her pending civic duty! Asker's Rating:
