(IPS) is a document, generally between an investor and the assisting investment manager, recording the agreements the two parties come to with regards to issues relating to how the investor's money is to be managed. In other cases, an IPS may also be created by an investment committee (e.g., those charged with making investment decisions for an endowment or pension plan) to help establish and record its own policies in order to assist in future decision-making or to help maintain consistency of its policies by future committee members or to clarify expectations for prospective money managers who may be hired by the committee.

Developing an Investment Policy Statement
I’m curious about your decision to hire an investment adviser after managing to reach the $100,000 all on your own in self-directed accounts. I’ve been thinking about this topic for a while and I’m curious when and why someone decides, “OK, enough of me doing this myself. It’s time to bring in an expert.” I agree completely about automation. My husband and I are building a decent retirement savings and a large reason for that is the automatic system of investment. We should probably take a look at the specific investments, though, and make sure we’re on the right track to meet our ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

I was excited to share it. Be sure and leave Vik some good comments and swing by his site to check out more of his writing. Making investment decisions can be a scary and overwhelming process. It seems like we are constantly bombarded with information about the market – one moment everyone’s excited, and a few hours later they are all disappointed. How can anyone make sense of this? The single most important thing to remember is that your investment decisions are largely determined by your personal situation. Weighing risk for young investors
I'm 26 years old and keep my money, about $300,000, in a savings account because I can't handle the volatility of the stock market. Until the recession hit, I was earning at least 4%. But now I'm getting a pathetic 1%. What's the smartest way for me to get a decent return? -- Daniel, Brooklyn, New York Answer: I'm sure I don't have to tell you that you're being extremely cautious for someone your age. Most advisers would recommend that you put at least 70% or so of whatever portion of your $300,000 you're investing for the long term in a diversified portfolio of stocks. Economy lost 125000 jobs and 652000 workers in June
A brutal unemployment report this month. Payrolls dropped by 125,000. In another one of those unwanted lessons in how we calculate unemployment data, the unemployment rate dropped from 9.7 percent to 9.5 percent -- but not because people got hired. Instead, 652,000 people gave up and stopped looking for work. And that number might be higher than it looks, as the natural monthly growth in the labor force is about 100,000 -- so to see a 652,000-person drop might mean something like 752,000 current workers left as 100,000 new workers entered. It's true that when the National Bureau of Economic Research dates the end of the ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Establishing business credit is tough, especially for a new business. But remember: It CAN be done, and it's easier than you think. Follow these steps, and you'll be on your way to an excellent credit profile. Here is what I have learned: ~Set up a Corp business. Thanks to all these social networking websites, creating Brand “I” or “ME” was never as easy as it is now. There was time when self-appreciation, visibility, self-promotion, self-branding were considered evil. These used to symbolize ego and arrogance. But now, the perception is different. “What is visible is saleable”. Whatever you do or say can be seen by many others. Now, you cannot really classify your friends as good-friends, close friends, acquaintance, and share-it-all friends. If you have added someone as your friend in your social network, they can know everything about you, ...
