What's the best online trading platform (E*Trade? ScottTrade ...
I wish I could do one that did both stocks and commodities and futures, but I’ll be happy with stocks. I want to place my 40k in mutual funds into day trading (don’t worry, I have actual training, classes, risks, know I’m likely to lose, etc.) but I still want to pick one. I want an online platform that’s fast, gets information quickly, executes cheap trades, and is generally reliable and easy to read. Anyone have experience with good ones? Zecco Going Strong – Raises $25 million Series B
I had a really rough time trying to open an account with them a few months back. I jumped through hoops, faxing in various documents and passports, and it didn’t help that I currently live abroad. Each of my inquiries would take days to get a response. Eventually I just gave up on the process, figuring that Zecco wouldn’t last much longer. That’s too bad. My experience was super ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

How do I invest in Euros? | Ask MetaFilter
As we all know, the value of the Dollar is falling and money in the bank is free-falling due to both the falling dollar and inflation. In a way to hedge against the falling dollar, I thought it might be possible to save in Euros or even the Chinese Yuan instead.
