July auto sales in India rose 31% over the same period last year to a record high of around 1.24 million units as consumers took advantage of cheaper Car loans and newer car and bike models, according to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, or Siam. The previous high of 1.23 million units was set in March.
