Music historians typically divide the history of ska into three periods: the original Jamaican scene of the 1960s (First Wave), the English 2 Tone ska revival of the late 1970s (Second Wave) and the third wave ska movement, which started in the 1980s (Third Wave) and rose to popularity in the US in the 1990s. 5 Cite error: There are tags on this page, but the references will not show without a {{Reflist}} template or a tag; see the .

Funding costs fall for US companies
Borrowing costs for industrial companies in the US have plunged, allowing some groups to pay the lowest interest rates ever on long-term debt. The decline in funding costs reflects the sharp fall in US Treasury yields amid the surge in demand for low-risk investments as jitters about the eurozone debt crisis have escalated. For investment-grade companies including Altria, the tobacco maker, Duke Energy, the utility, Abbott Laboratories, the pharmaceuticals group and General Mills, the food manufacturer, it has provided an opportunity to sell bonds with record low interest payments, according to Dealogic. The interest paid by ... market research, surveys and trends

DURHAM, N.C. -- Chief financial officers in the U.S. say they have limited plans to hire over the next 12 months, although nearly 60 percent won't return their staffing to pre-recession levels until 2012 or later. Benefits and wages also remain at reduced levels at many firms, and credit is still tight for small firms, which is hindering hiring plans and constraining growth. The recovery is not completely stalled, however, as CFOs predict strong business spending and earnings growth. The American people want more government spending
The new conventional wisdom in Washington is that more spending to promote job creation is out of the question, because the public has changed its priorities and is obsessed with the danger of federal deficits. Really? What public? The Paraguayan public? The Moroccan public? The actual views of the American people are at odds with the corporate media’s portrayal of a nation of deficit hawks. According to a June 11-13 USA Today/Gallup Poll, 60 percent of Americans favor "additional government spending to create jobs and stimulate the economy." Only 38 percent of the respondents opposed the proposal, while 2 ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Why did Gregg Paulus switch from basketball at Duke to football at ...
There's obviously something I missed here. He was a beast at Duke at basketball, and even if he wanted to play football he could have stayed there because God knows they need him. Anyway, what am I missing? 10 months ago Right, but why leave Duke (one of the best Basketball programs in the country) for Syracuse? 10 months ago Member since: December 23, 2008 Total points: 3480 (Level 4) He ran out of basketball eligibility. There's some weird rule or loophole that will allow him to play a semester of football. 10 months ago There are currently no comments for this question. * You must be logged into Answers to ...
WikiAnswers - What are the minimum requirements for admission at ...
I don't know the minimum requirements for admission at Duke University. But you definitely need to get great grades. A great GPA and a great SAT score are a must. After you accomplish this, start thinking about ways you can separate yourself from the competition. Extracurricular activities are very important. Lastly, make sure you want to go to Duke University. I know a lot of students that thought they wanted to go to their dream school, but when they got in and went to that school, they were really disappointed. You can get information about the academic requirements here: http://www.unigo.com/duke_university/rankings
