comment on even more reasons not to trust your real estate agent ...
This is pretty common – a buyer looks at a house but is concerned with the potential costs of renovations and maintenance items like a new furnace. Most real estate agents are only too happy to give the buyer an idea of what the items will cost. The problem is that it’s in the best interest of the agent to downplay the costs since that will encourage the buyer to make the purchase and the commission will be paid. This happened to both Mr. Cheap and myself on previous real estate deals so we’ve learned this lesson the hard way. The fact is that estimating renovation costs (not an simple skill) doesn’t ... market research, surveys and trends

David Makes Cents .com » Bring Your Lunch to Work Day
I have officially made every day a “Bring your lunch to work day”. I am trying to save more of my paycheck. It is small enough as it is, I don’t need to spend all my money on food. I only make about $60 a day and easily spend $7 a day on food. This should really help me save more money and reach my goals . I actually leave my food in the car while I’m at work. We have been having 90 degree weather down here in the south and my food has been kept nice and cool. I use a mini cooler and two ice packs to keep it cool. It has worked great so far. For lunch I usually make myself a turkey and cheese sandwich. I ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
CAN I GET RICH ON A SALARY: Four Specific Paths To Automatic ...
There are folks who’ll tell you that how much you save and invest is as important or more important than lots of other things, like most individual investment decisions. I’m one of them. And I think the best way to increase the amounts you save and invest is through an automatic investment plan . As I’ve mentioned, I think automated saving and investing has been the most important part of our personal-finance plan so far. (See: Inside The Millionaire Mind of Mush—How We Became Millionaires .) An automatic investment plan is where you have a set amount of money automatically taken from each ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Personal Finance Myths
No, no, no, that is the wrong attitude. So many people seem to think it is beneficial to have a huge mortgage so they can have a huge "tax savings". I will lay it on the line. Having to pay interest by itself is BAD! You are being forced to pay more than something is worth because you do not have the cash to buy it yourself. However, with mortgage loans you get to write off the interest as a tax deduction. This is great but it really is not a "savings", it is really a "discount". You are still paying a bucket load of money to borrow for your home, but you are getting a percentage of it back as a ...

You can do this with the calculator on your computer. 5% is 0.05. Multiply that times $23,600 to find out the raise amount and add it to the original salary. In other words, 5% raise is 105% of the original salary. Multiply 105% (or 1.05) times the original salary. 3 weeks ago Asker's Rating: Asker's Comment: Much thanks, friend There are currently no comments for this question. * You must be logged into Answers to add comments.
