Beginners how-to guide to Git, GitHub, and Windows 7 32&64-bit ...
After recently trying to setup and configure git in Windows 7 so I could access my github.com repos, I discovered what a nightmare it was.  I searched google, read article after article, followed all sorts of “how-tos” and tutorials, but nothing worked.  And then the daunting re-occurring  message I wasn’t finding a good answer to: PuTTY Fatal Error Disconnected: No supported authentication methods available Enough was enough!  The process was so simple in Linux Ubuntu, but why in the world the issues in Windows and hours of my time wasted?!?! The good news is it didn’t end there. I managed to find ... market research, surveys and trends
Git GitHub TortoiseGit Windows 7 Vista msysgit
I wasted a lot of today setting up TortoiseGit on two PCs, one running Vista and the other running Windows 7,  to work with my private Git repository at GitHub. Here’s what finally worked: 1) I downloaded msysgit ( Git-1.7.0.2-preview20100309.exe ) from http://code.google.com/p/msysgit/downloads/list 2) I installed the software and unchecked the option for Windows integration. I’ll be using TortoiseGit for the Windows integration and don’t want any conflicts from msysgit. 3) Selected the option for Git Bash only. Other options make unnecessary changes to windows environment. 4) Selected the option to Checkout ... market research, surveys and trends

This is due to breaking changes in Mercurial’s internal API after hgsubversion 1.1 was released. Second, there is a bug in hgsubversion , again due to breaking changes in the Mercurial API, that results in an exception when it is used with the bookmarks extension in version 1.6. If you are getting really strange performance and Plone is acting stranger than a panda bear playing tetris check your server and see if it is out of memory and using a swap file.  When using FreeBSD or OpenBSD just type " top " into the shell and it will show you something similar to: The last value of the 4th line will tell us how much RAM we have free, in this case 40M, now seeing as how that isnt very much we need to make sure Plone isnt using sawap, so we check one line down Swap: 2014M Total, 2014M Free No swap is being used, so we are okay! Now is 800K or 4M of swap are in use it is no big deal, but if it ...
