High Yield Corporate Bond List

high yield corporate bond list special research report Photo by www.smartstockmarket.com
As you probably know, corporations issue bonds to raise cash. The bonds pay dividends corresponding to a specified interest (coupon) rate until the maturity date. Mutual Funds vs. Individual Bonds You can buy individual bonds or you can buy shares in bond mutual funds. Both methods have advantages. For instance, when you buy an individual bond, assuming the issuer is still solvent, you are assured of collecting the bonds face value when it matures. By contrast, mutual fund share prices fluctuate with the value of the bonds that they hold, which move with ...
stake in the company (i.e., they are owners), whereas bondholders have a creditor stake in the company (i.e., they are lenders). Another difference is that bonds usually have a defined term, or maturity, after which the bond is redeemed, whereas stocks may be outstanding indefinitely. An exception is a consol bond , which is a perpetuity (i.e., bond with no maturity).

Why are high yield corporate stocks taxable? - Yahoo! Answers
If you mean high yield corporate bonds, because the tax code says they're taxable. As an incentive to get people to invest in their communities (and reduce gov't borrowing costs), the tax code makes interest on many types of government bonds (such as State, County or Municipal bonds) free from tax. Gains on corporate stocks aren't taxable until you sell them. Again, that's because the tax code requires it. 3 years ago 67% 2 Votes There are currently no comments for this question. * You must be logged into Answers to add comments. Sign in or Register .
