Import / Export: How to Get Started in International Trade
This book is a bit dated. There is no use for this book if you want to get into this business on a serious basis. Poor style, poor grammar and very poor content. The author devoted 75 pages on trade agreements such as NAFTA and the EU. You don’t need to know the technical details of these agreements. You need to sell, sell and sell. This book is very bad. If you want a primer on the ins and outs buy get Exporting, Importing and Beyond. After that, buy Building an Import/Export Business by Weiss (this book gives you techniques that are absolutely useless but it is important to know this…so you don’t do ... market research, surveys and trends

As hard as it is for businesses to get loans these days, consider this: even for Toyota Motor , the world’s largest automaker, the well has run dry. The problem, which led Japan to take the rare step Tuesday of tapping its foreign currency reserves to help, is a result of banks curbing the once-easy stream of credit that had helped nurture a boom in global trade. When the world’s economies were expanding, banks financed up to 90 percent of the $13.6 billion market for merchandise trade. But ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Asia markets wrap: weak Chinese imports hit stocks
News that China’s trade surplus hit its highest level in 18 months weakened equities today, with the MSCI index of Asia-Pacific markets slipping from Monday’s three-month high. The Shanghai Composite fell 2.9 per cent to close at its lowest in two weeks, at 2,595.27. China’s imports grew at 22.7 per cent in July, well below the 34.1 per cent growth in June. Traders saw the data as evidence of slowing domestic demand, while a weaker-than-expected export number added to fears of sluggish recoveries in Japan and the US. Column: The anti-business president's pro-business recovery
This White House has "vilified industries," complains the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. America is burdened with "an anti-business president," moans the Weekly Standard. Would that all presidents were this anti-business: According to the St. Louis Federal Reserve, corporate profits hit $1.37 trillion in the first quarter -- an all-time high. Businesses are sitting on about $2 trillion in cash reserves. Business spending jumped 20 percent last quarter and is up by 13 percent against 2009. And the Obama administration has cut taxes for small businesses and big ones alike. Maybe the president could be anti-me for a ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
