Overview of Triangulation Methodology

overview of triangulation methodology special research report Photo by
A number of writers have commented on the dearth of substantive research within the field of technology education, and point to the expansion of its research agenda as a means of strengthening the discipline. Waetjen, in his call for good research in technology education, states that "the plea is to use experimental type research as much as possible" ( 1992, p. 30 ). Interestingly, the three areas of research need outlined in his essay would all lend themselves to alternative methodologies, including qualitative methodologies. More recently, others have called for an expansion in the types of research methods ...
Cognitive triangulation is the mental referencing of two resident concepts to remember or recall a singular, unique concept. One resident concept identifies a set while the other identifies a particular case in the set. For example, Presidents (set) and first (case) identify Washington in the USA. Answers may differ among cultures, but logic holds true and responses are predictable.

Combination Approaches: An Overview of Combination Prevention ...
Combination prevention uses a mix of biomedical, behavioral, and structural interventions, and targets the prevention needs of different populations based upon epidemiologic and demographic data. Historically, programs that achieved significant, lasting improvements required change at the individual, organizational, and societal levels, providing mutually reinforcing messages and interventions. Combination programs aim to select the optimal mix of interventions that will have the greatest impact on reducing HIV transmission, individuals’ susceptibility and vulnerability to HIV, and the infectivity of the virus. Sony Ericsson Zylo review
The Sony Ericsson Zylo is like a blast from the past. Suddenly, it's two years ago, we're wearing Boho chic, and a basic slider phone with a proprietary headphone jack can still earn the beloved Walkman brand. But this is 2010, we're parking our jet car and listening to Spotify on our cheap Android phones , and we've got a load of little slider phones just like it in a drawer, waiting to be sent off to the recycling centre. The Zylo is perfectly acceptable, and could be good for someone who hates surprises, but in 2010 we just have to ask -- what's the point? The Zylo is available for free on a 15 per ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Africa: Kenya Says 'Yes' to the Constitution
The two big news stories in Africa this week are the Kenyan constitution vote and the announcement by Haitian musician, Wyclef Jean that he will run for president in the November elections. I had expected more blog posts from Kenya but maybe it's just the slowness of August. What an African Woman Wants writes to the 'New Constitution' on the hopes and dreams Kenyans voted for: 'You see, today, August 4th, 2010, was the day Kenyans voted on the proposed new constitution. And the new constitution is expected to play a pivotal role in not only articulating our hopes and aspirations as a people, but in providing ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Polygon Triangulation
Computing the triangulation of a polygon is a fundamental algorithm in computational geometry. In computer graphics, polygon triangulation algorithms are widely used for tessellating curved geometries, as are described by splines [Kumar and Manocha 1994] . Methods of triangulation include greedy algorithms [O'Rourke 1994] , convex hull differences [Tor and Middleditch 1984] and horizontal decompositions [Seidel 1991] . This Gem describes an implementation based on Seidel's algorithm ( op. cit. ) for triangulating simple polygons having no holes (The code has since then been extended to handle holes) . It is an ...
Qualitative Data Analysis... 101? | Ask MetaFilter
I'm working on a Psychology research project this summer with some professors, and neither me nor they have done any sort of qualitative data analysis. The bulk of our thesis is based on quan titative data measures, so it's not like we're up a creek here, but we've decided to undertake the task of implementing some questions that will be open-ended (i.e. a "Explain your thoughts/feelings regarding X" question) and will require some qualitative analyses and I was just wondering if there are any 101 sources or essays (or even scholarly journal articles which have used these methods that could serve as an ...
