Most versions of Quicken are primarily provided and specialized for the US and Canadian marketplace and user base. However the core functions can often be used more widely regardless of country. Development of the UK -specific version of Quicken was discontinued in January 2005, with sales and support following ...

Personal finance software used to be a straightforward matter for Apple Mac users, in that Intuit Quicken provided a steady, standard service. At one point, almost 10 years ago, I was very contented with a Palm Treo-Mac syncing option offered by LandWare (Pocket Quicken). this allowed me to enter expenses on-the-go. The departure of Inuit from the UK market (where they only sell ... market research, surveys and trends

Survey: Programmers shunning Vista for Mac OS and Linux - Apple ...
"Developers," a VP at Electronic Arts once told me, explaining why there were so many me-too Windows applications, "will walk through the desert in their socks to get to an installed base." True enough. But it doesn't quite explain the results of a survey issued last week by Evans Data Corp. The headline was that most developers are still not targeting Windows Vista when they write new apps. Only 8% of the 380 developers surveyed were writing for Vista; 49% were still targeting Windows XP. That makes sense, given that XP still enjoys a 73% market share, compared with less than 15% for Vista, according ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

VoIP basics: How to make free phone calls via the Internet
The first time my daughter went overseas with her college classmates, I called our cellphone company to inquire about international connection plans. For just $6 a month, they told me, I could get "discounted" calls to wherever my daughter traveled. Some $200 in "discounted" calling charges later — which added up to less than two hours of phone time — I realized that what I bought was an expensive lesson on international dialing. I've since learned that keeping in touch with friends and relatives overseas can be cheap — sometimes even free — but you may need to learn how to talk ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Personal Finance Software for Mac Question: Deluxe 2008 Edition ...
My wife just got me a new MacBook as a pre-Valentine's day present (yes, she's awesome.) There are obvious equivalents for all of the applications I have on my old desktop (running XP), except one: Quicken. I know there's a Mac version of Quicken, but from what I hear it lacks a lot of the functionality of the Windows version. I also know that I could run the Windows version via Parallels, but that doesn't appeal to me for two reasons: a) the only reason for me to install Parallels/XP would be for Quicken, which makes the whole thing rather expensive, and b) over the last few years I've come to hate ...
What is a good personal finance software for Mac OS X?
isn't as good as Quicken for PC, nor do I think it's as good as MS Money (I'm still on version 2002 and it works fine), but there are few options. The first thing I noticed about Quicken on Mac OS X is that it's ugly. It's a finance application, sure, but that doesn't stop other special purpose apps from looking good. Another option is a now-in-beta software called Cha-Ching: http://www.midnightapps.com/chaching/index.ht m -- I haven't used it but I intend to give it a shot very soon. It looks sufficiently feature-rich. Answered by TeeSeeJay 39 months ago Answer from basstech Official Rating If ...
