After more than an hour of discussion, a majority of commissioners approved a step toward bringing back the land bank, which they’d voted to dissolve in March. Several commissioners raised concerns over funding for the land bank and the expense of property maintenance and rehab, though most said they supported the entity in concept. A land bank allows the government – through a separate land bank authority – to take temporary ownership of tax- or mortgage-foreclosed ... market research, surveys and trends

Which Big 12 school earned the greatest amount of conference-delivered cash in the last year for which government figures are available for all university sports? Hint: It's not Texas. What percent of Americans don't believe John McCain's Support for ...
When I spoke here last winter, this nation was facing the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. We were losing an average of 700,000 jobs per month. Credit was frozen. And our financial system was on the verge of collapse. As any American who is still looking for work or a way to pay their bills will tell you, we are by no means out of the woods. And I will not let up until those Americans who seek jobs can find them -- (applause) -- until those businesses that seek capital and credit can thrive; until all responsible homeowners can stay in their homes. ...
