How to estimate Lifetime Value « Lightspeed Venture Partners Blog
In many businesses, repeat purchase behavior is a key driver of value. Many companies track % of repeat purchases as a key business metric. This is useful in steady state, but can sometimes be quite misleading if the company is showing substantial growth. By definition, growth implies many first time customers, and the mix of these new customers can distort the view into how much repeat purchase behavior is actually occuring. I prefer to try to analyze repeat pruchase behavior, and hence, estimate lifetime value, by doing cohort analysis. This is approximate by definition, but it can give you some sense of lifetime value well ... market research, surveys and trends

Panasonic TC-P50G25
Reports of plasma's demise are greatly exaggerated—at least as far as Panasonic is concerned. The company's 50-inch TC-P50G25 ($1,499.95 list) is one of four models in the G25 series and it joins 18 additional models in Panasonic's VIERA family of plasma HDTVs (including five new 3D sets). The TC-P50G25 gets you into a late-model big screen TV for just under $1,500, which is a great value compared with some of the similarly sized LCD models out there, but there are trade-offs. You won't get a ton of Web apps, and today's plasmas, though greener than they have been in the past, can't match the ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

What is the average cost of retaining an existing customer or ...
I am not sure anybody can provide actual costs. But it's at least 5 - 10 times cheaper to keep a customer than acquiring a new one posted 6 months ago New clients costs all over the board as Andy noted - the ones that "fall in your lap" can be less costly, and it depends on what you are doing - - I've been involved in deals where BD costs have been $1-milion range for BPO multi-year deals, win or lose. Retaining clients is less costly, must be done with a solid strategy to know what is up, knowing meeting and managing client expectations and the rest. Been a while, but when started a region, kept a Excel on the things ...
Will watching video in 4:3 ratio ruin my LCD TV? - Yahoo! Answers
first off I didn't realize since I switched I'd still be watching regular non hi def channels most of the time. While watching regular channels in 4:3 mode, will that cause a burn in on the screen? I've read different things on this, Panasonic says that LCD's don't actually burn in but they get "image retention" which is not permanent. Samsung, says it can be permanent and advise you to stretch your picture with the zoom function if you are going to be watching for more than 2 hrs. I really don't like zooming the picture as it scews it a little, but If I have to do that I will.
