At the outset they appear the same, capturing interest, attracting pilot funding, developing constituencies, attracting academic research, even influencing policy. Last year a group of Canadians traveled to Social Capital Markets 2009 (SoCap09) and enjoyed a half-day workshop and evening reception, as well as private briefings throughout the conference itself.
