Below is a summary of the July Gloom Boom and Doom update. Readers who are not subscribed to the newsletter will find these summaries interesting. We will try to post monthly summaries when and if they become available. 1 . Earlier this year it was easy to call for a strong rebound in asset markets. Markets were extremely over-sold and sentiment was extremely negative. This is no longer the case. 2. Bullish sentiment is higher than at the 2007 peak. 3. Worrisome is that corporate insiders have been selling at an extremely high pace. The last time there were more US corporate executives reducing their stock holdings than ...

The Holy Grail (of Investment) | All About Financial Matters
Every year I go to the Money Show in Orlando, Florida. Thousands attend. It is mostly an older crowd with the youngsters about 40 years of age. I have been saying for years that until you have lost enough money trying to make a fortune you will not become serious about investing. The under 40’s are shooting for the moon and it has finally dawned on the over 40’s (maybe it’s the over 50’s) that they must find a better way to get rich. The Money Show presents a forum of recognized experts in their field. It may be long-term or short term trading. It could be in stocks, bonds, mutual fund, ETFs (Exchange ... market research, surveys and trends
Is it possible to make a living out of investing on the stock ...
Yeah $8k isn’t enough capital to try that. It’s highly risky. You would need to pick some serious big winner in order to get enough money to create a decent portfolio. I’ve heard a few people manage it, but most just do it to supplement their income. for an uninformed / untrained trader, a casino or the stock market is even odds. People get rich, make a living, or end in the poor house either way. U.S. Cattle Herd Falls to 1958 Low as Losses Climb, Survey Says ...
Jan. 27 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. cattle herd may have shrunk to the smallest size since 1958, as mounting losses during the recession spurred beef and dairy producers to cull animals, analysts said. Wholesale choice-beef prices averaged $1.4071 a pound last year, the lowest level since at least 2004, as U.S. job losses climbed and meat demand waned. Corn, the main ingredient in livestock feed, jumped to a record $7.9925 a bushel in 2008 on the Chicago Board of Trade, and prices averaged about $3.79 last year, the third-highest annual average since at least 1959. “There’s not much incentive to be building herds,” ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
The Only Post You Will Read From Me About The Damon Evans Situation.
the standard warnings about the presumption of innocence should go without saying. Not everyone who is picked up for driving under the influence is actually under the influence. Some have been drinking but fall below the legal limit for operating a vehicle and are having no difficulty operating, some have medical conditions which mimic the symptoms of intoxication, some are merely tired and some just have a prickly roadside demeanor that gets them locked up for being a jackass. At least those are my observations after 7 years as a practicing member of the State Bar of Georgia.
