I have an unusual background. I went to Columbia for Undergrad, graduated in 99' with a degree in English then went on to become an Airline Pilot. The road to the Major Airlines is a very difficult one. Now that im there, flying widebody aircraft around the planet and earning a couple hundred grand a year, im bored.. Dont get me wrong, I love the job but Finance seems more exciting, atleast from the outside. I have family in Banking but I really cant get their honest input because they think I have the coolest job in the world..Atleast thats whats in their minds.These are MD's at top BB firms.. Well, I cant speak for all but for myself its somthing that your more drawn to. Most people hate paperwork and accounting of any sort. Some of us love it. Its kind of like working a crossword puzzle. The answer is always there. The only mistake in math is made by the user. So its really a challange. I'm sure there are people who just are in it for the money but the true accountant loves the riddle in the numbers.
