Depression Narrative as a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy | Phil's Stock ...
Thx Phil. Lightly moving in the bullish direction. Took PFE for $14.35 and sold the Jan 11 C/P for $2.85 giving me a net entry below Mar 09 low. And I bought back those calls on BTU and JPM I asked about the other day and am leaving them uncovered for now, so feeling better. Still just learning the rhythm. In the three months I have been using your system, my little portfolio is up 9.9%, so not only am I learning, but I am APPLYING that knowledge, and it’s paying off. Thanks. - Hoss, Jun 8, 2010   Phil, I don’t know if I told you lately but you da man! I’m doing so much better following your guidelines. It’s ... market research, surveys and trends

by competing institutions. President Richard Levin must have noticed that several were making their way to the University of Texas-Southwestern in Dallas, where the dean, Robert Alpern, was leading a surge in the school's standing—in part through his success in attracting top-flight scientists and clinicians. But then, says Nobel laureate and Southwestern professor Alfred Gilman '62, "Yale got revenge." They got Alpern. Alpern left Southwestern in June to become the new dean of Yale's medical school. He had been at Southwestern for 17 years and served as dean for the last six; colleagues praised his success ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
FRB: Speech--Bernanke, Reflections on a Year of Crisis--August 21 ...
By the standards of recent decades, the economic environment at the time of this symposium one year ago was quite challenging. A year after the onset of the current crisis in August 2007, financial markets remained stressed, the economy was slowing, and inflation--driven by a global commodity boom--had risen significantly. What we could not fully appreciate when we last gathered here was that the economic and policy environment was about to become vastly more difficult. In the weeks that followed, several systemically critical financial institutions would either fail or come close to failure, activity in some key financial ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Don't Blame the Brits
The exceedingly well-informed American journalist Michael Collins Piper, a fearless critic of Zionist and US policies, stated in a recent report on the acquisition of Newsweek by “Zionist billionaire” Sidney Harman and his wife, Congresswoman Jane: Now Newsweek falls into the hands of the Harmans, who, by the way, are both members of the Council on Foreign Relations, the New York-based affiliate of the London-based Royal Institute of International Affairs, which is the foreign policy arm of the Rothschild empire.[1] I respectfully differ from Mr Piper in his description of the Anglophile link. The claim in regard to an ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Behind the war between Obama and big business
FORTUNE -- Corporate chiefs may seem hardboiled, but they can be sensitive, too. Take the ruckus they've been raising over what they perceive to be rough treatment from the Obama White House. The bubbling resentment of the administration among top corporate brass burst into the open in late June, when Verizon ( VZ , Fortune 500 ) CEO Ivan Seidenberg addressed a lunchtime crowd gathered at a hotel in downtown Washington. "By reaching into virtually every sector of economic life, government is injecting uncertainty into the marketplace and making it harder to raise capital and create new businesses," he said. The critique was ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

If only familiarity did breed contempt, we might all be better investors. But the reality is just the opposite: Familiarity breeds contentment because human nature prompts us to feel comfortable with things we know. As a result, instead of buying investments that could yield superior results, we gravitate toward the ones we know best. JULY 23, 2010 |  Tookes on Suppy Capital Heather Tookes, an associate professor of finance at the Yale SOM, studies the effect of the supply of capital on firms' financing decisions, questioning the conventional wisdom that the manner of financing is driven largely by firms' demand.

WikiAnswers - What is the GPA requirement for Yale
Most of the higher end colleges do not have a GPA requirement. This is because schools like Yale looks at the big picture, rather than on one area. I would recommend having at least a 3.5 unweighted, but more is always better, and less can be fine if you have extracurriculars and volunteering to support it.   Most of the higher end colleges do not have a GPA requirement.
