Ageing is an important part of all human societies reflecting the biological changes that occur, but also reflecting cultural and societal conventions. Age is usually measured in full years — and months for young children. A person's ...

Grey Nomads of Australia's Anti-Ageing Advice: Hit the Road
A growing number of self-funded retirees are opting to leave the rat-race behind and enjoy a life of freedom and fun as they travel Australia by road. This stress-free nomadic lifestyle is what many attribute to staying fit and active, especially in Australia. According to the Macquarie Dictionary Fifth Edition, a grey nomad is an Australian colloquial term for “an older person, often retired from full-time work, who travels around the country, living in a caravan of motorhome”. The role that they play on the highways of Australia was once reserved for the hippies and backpackers, but they now travel side-by-side in ... market research, surveys and trends

Fiscal policy crisis may claim some scalps
The Toronto G20 meeting's decision to adopt a policy of fiscal austerity demonstrates that fiscal policy is now subject to myriad global pressures and regulation. Just as former prime minster Kevin Rudd disappeared into a political quagmire when faced with the mining tax problems, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, too, has lost a lot of her political lustre as she has cut public expenditure. Meanwhile, US President Barack Obama fought deficit hawks in both parties to get tighter regulation on America's financial institutions. There is no doubt that fiscal policy will set the political agenda for the next decade. ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
PM warns of cuts in 'lean' campaign

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Healthy, active, famous old people. | Ask MetaFilter
A close friend of mine is turning 70 this week and keeps commenting on how all his friends are "dropping like flies". He is still very healthy and looks and acts quite young. I'll like to fill his birthday card with a list of people who are in their seventies and eighties who are still active and healthy to inspire him that 70 isn't the end of the road. I know I must be drawing a huge blank, because Tony Bennet and George Burns are the only two people I can come up with. Any ideas....? It doesn't matter if they are male or female or living or dead, just so long as they're relatively famous. Bill Cosby looks ...
