Deciding on healthy goals When choosing healthy goals you should be able to fit them in with your family eating and activity patterns, your budget and your work and social life. Write them down in a way that you can check on your progress. For example if your goal was to increase the ...

WHO launches the Global Network of Age-friendly Cities as part of a broader response to the rapid ageing of populations. Populations in almost every corner of the world are growing older. The greatest changes are occurring in less-developed countries. By 2050, it is estimated that 80% of the expected 2 billion people aged 60 years or over will live in low or middle income countries. Product portfolio for USB 2.0 and 3.0 testing
USB delivered a new way to connect personal computers and devices and allows users to easily connect many different types of devices and peripherals. As a result, USB has essentially replaced ageing serial and parallel ports as the connection of choice for device manufacturers and end users. One of the biggest factors in the incredible success of USB has been the successful interoperability of USB devices and hosts. Interoperable products are an indirect result of the compliance testing programme developed and maintained by the USB-Implementers Forum (USB-IF), which publishes compliance test specifications and has developed a ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
PM warns of cuts in 'lean' campaign
JULIA Gillard has promised the government will run a "lean" election campaign with "hard choices" and "unpopular cutbacks". In a speech today the Prime Minister pledged that any commitments made in the election campaign would not add a single cent to the budget bottom line. Ms Gillard said those expecting an “old-style, spend-up-big campaign can forget it”. Active Ageing | The Wisdom Years
Social participation and social support are strongly associated with good health and well-being throughout life. Participating in leisure, social, cultural and spiritual activities in the community, as well as with the family, allows older people to continue to exercise their competence, to enjoy respect and esteem, and to maintain or establish supportive and caring relationships. Specialised educational institutions like Silver College offer a great example of a place where senior citizens can gain a fresh perspective and purpose after retirement. Healthy, active, famous old people. | Ask MetaFilter
A close friend of mine is turning 70 this week and keeps commenting on how all his friends are "dropping like flies". He is still very healthy and looks and acts quite young. I'll like to fill his birthday card with a list of people who are in their seventies and eighties who are still active and healthy to inspire him that 70 isn't the end of the road. I know I must be drawing a huge blank, because Tony Bennet and George Burns are the only two people I can come up with. Any ideas....? It doesn't matter if they are male or female or living or dead, just so long as they're relatively famous. Bill Cosby looks ...
What is the purpose of the 50 groups limit ? | LinkedIn Answers ...
Recently I got a letter from LI stating: "As an active member of LinkedIn Groups ... These changes include adding a limit to the number of user-created groups any LinkedIn member may be part of at one time. Currently we are setting that limit at membership in 50 (fifty) user-created groups. ..." Who is benefiting from that and why ? Personally I just feel that I am being harassed by LI. The easy solution would be to move to Marzar, which has better functionality or Plaxo/ecademy which has similar functionality. However as many of you I am Locked-in as I have a lot of friends and connections (and a history with them) here on LI. ...
