There is a need for integrated support for annotation and sharing within the primary tool used for interacting with the World Wide Web, which today is a web browser. Based on prior work and user studies in our research lab, we 1 propose design recommendations for a global shared annotation system, for the domain of scholarly research. We describe a system built using these design recommendations (NeoNote), and provide an example video demonstrating the suggested features. Finally, we discuss the major challenges that remain for implementing a global annotation system for sharing scholarly knowledge. Significant changes are ...
Recognized as a pivotal work in the director's artistic evolution, the film has distinct autobiographical elements that mirror important societal changes in 1950s Italy. Nominated for an Academy Award in 1958, it was Fellini's first successful motion picture after the commercial failure of his second film The White Sheik ( 1952 ), and launched the career of Alberto Sordi , one of post-war Italy's most significant and popular comedians.

One such technique is the electropharyngeogram (EPG) which has provided insight into the genetic basis of feeding behaviour, neurotransmission and muscle excitability. However, the detailed manual analysis of the digital recordings ... market research, surveys and trends

This file, marked “confidential” that was leaked to wikileaks, describes development of an EU-funded intelligence gathering system (“INDECT work package 4″) designed to comb weblogs, chat sites, news reports, and social networking sites to in order to build up automatic dossiers on individuals, organizations and their relationships. “The aim of work package 4 (WP4) is the development of key technologies that facilitate the building of an intelligence gathering system by combining and extending the current state-of-the-art methods in Natural Language Processing (NLP). One of the goals of WP4 is to ... market research, surveys and trends

European law is complex, many layered and expanding. There are thousands of regulations, so many that compliance is difficult, time-consuming and expensive. While harmonization is underway, the process itself demands that individuals, ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Project Success Stories - Visualising the future
An innovative project to develop an audio-visual search engine could have implications as diverse as improving the lives of documentary makers to preventing international crime. The concept behind developing an audio-visual search engine is, on the face of it, rather simple. It addresses a fundamental weakness of computers up to now: while they are experts at finding words in text, finding objects in images and video is another matter. To understand why, think about how much interpretation is directly encoded in writing: while we are speaking on the phone, we are creating a physical signal. But by the time this information is ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

PARG: Program Analysis Reading Group
This paper presents novel techniques for checking the soundness of a type system automatically using a software model checker. Our idea is to systematically generate every type correct intermediate program state (within some finite bounds), execute the program one step forward if possible using its small step operational semantics, and then check that the resulting intermediate program state is also correct type--but do so efficiently by detecting similarities in this search space and pruning away large portions of the search space. Thus, given only a specification of type correctness and the small step operational semantics for ...

With that many extension, it's not surprising a problem like this has cropped up. I'd disable them one by one to see which one causes the error.
