I worked for a seasonal business and was laid off in December. I went on unemployment in Mass. Through the winter, I was asked to come in for about 10 hours a week to check messages, pay bills and tax preparation. I was never paid. The agreement was that in the Spring, when the business reopened and started generating revenue, they would then work the hours in through payroll. I only worked part time. Im March, suddenly, I was fired for no real reason, although I was promised I would be paid for the winter work i did do. Well, they never paid me and have no intention on doing so.
