City of Fond du Lac taxpayers will be paying two former police officers a combined total of about $50,000 in salary and benefit costs for the four months following their resignations. The Fond du Lac Reporter received the agreements of resignation and release for Michael Domke and Dennis Sabel last week after filing an open records request with the city. Domke was off duty when he was involved in a traffic crash and left the scene on April 21. Sabel, who was on duty, stopped Domke but let him go without investigating the circumstances. I think I hate working. Or at least the part where I have a boss, and I sit in front of a computer all day for 8 hours, with a mandatory hour long lunch and two 15 minute breaks for 40 years. I feel this way a little more every day, even though I feel passionate about my field, generally like what I'm doing at the computer, and even have moments of euphoria when I do a really good job.
