A regional workshop to launch research on decentralization of basic social services began its yesterday in the Hotel Tenere Niamey. The workshop, organized by the Educational Research Network for West and Central Africa (ERNWACA) was placed under the patronage of the High Commissioner for Modernization of the State, Mr. Mom Malam Sani Mom, who presided over the opening ceremony. The workshop brought together researchers from Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana, Mali, Senegal and Niger involved in the preparation of the Transnational study on “decentralization of basic social services : water, health education”.
